A short drive from Hugga and one of our favorite dining experiences in the area. There’s a cozy little bar for a drink before dinner, and the restaurant serves everything from surf and turf to seasonal soups. It’s a great option when you want a more elevated meal without going far.

Private Chef Experience

If you’re looking for a memorable meal without leaving Hugga, we partner with an excellent Columbus-based chef. He offers both four-course plated dinners and family-style meals prepared right in your cabin. It’s one of our favorite ways to elevate a stay.

This cabin was built around a stand of old-growth pines. We opened the area carefully and began reforestation by planting young hemlocks to carry the forest forward. At Hugga, our goal is to be good stewards of the land and design cabins that feel rooted in their surroundings.

We’ve created over two miles of trails, restored sections of the creek, and added habitat for bats, owls, and birds. Everything we do is meant to support the natural ecology and enrich the experience for guests.

The entire cabin is yours. You also have access to our trails throughout our 42 private acres.

The cabin brings modern Scandinavian design into the middle of a 10-acre meadow on our 42-acre property. The two-bedroom, 2.5-bath layout is built around space, light, and simplicity. Every detail is designed to help you slow down and feel connected to the land.

The open living area ties together the kitchen, dining space, and living room. Large windows pull in natural light and frame the prairie outside. Evenings tend to settle around the fireplace, the sofa, and the kind of quiet you only get out here.

Glass doors lead to the outdoor patio, where mornings start with coffee and wide-open views, and evenings end under big, starry skies.

The primary bedroom features a king bed with soft linens and a calm, minimal design. The en-suite bathroom gives you a private place to reset. The second bedroom mirrors the same comfort and aesthetic, making it easy for everyone to rest well.

Prairie Cabin is meant to feel effortless. Modern design, nature in every direction, and small touches that make the stay feel intentional.

Outdoor Space

You’re surrounded by 42 private acres with direct access to our Firewood Trail, a .90-mile loop through the woods. The cabin overlooks the prairie where deer and other wildlife often wander. Cedar Falls and Old Man’s Cave are just a few minutes away, giving you quick access to the best of Hocking Hills.

Outside, we designed the space for simple relaxation. Light a fire, cook on the grill, sit back in the outdoor chairs, or end the day in the hot tub under the stars. Firewood is provided on site, and the cabin includes free parking and a Type II EV charger.
